Designed and installed a total of (162) 4.5" diameter hollow bar micro piles with a 5' embedment into rock. Piles were designed for an ultimate load of 150 kips and with an increased factor of safety in order to eliminate the requirement for a pile load test. Worked with the GC to take special precautions around the remnants of the existing ruin walls and adjacent historical buildings, maximizing the preservation of the resources while allowing the construction to take place with least impact to means and methods.
